The Phoenix Fortress is a European-certified safe with a value storage £4,000 for cash / £40,000 for valuables. This compact safe is a convenient and secure way to protect your cash and personal belongings from theft. Not only does this safe have a functional design, it also has an attractive design to match any interior.
Suitable for Private and Business use
The Phoenix Fortress II series is suitable for both private and business use thanks to its value storage. The safe has external dimensions 220 x 350 x 300 mm (HxWxD) and a capacity of 7 litres. You have a choice of key or electronic code lock.
The Fortress II SS1181K is equipped with a Double Bitted Key Lock and weighs 15 kg. In addition, the safe is equipped with 1 shelf(s) so you can store your belongings conveniently.

Construction Features and Anchoring
The solid locking mechanism with chrome-plated bolts provides extra security and ensures that your belongings cannot simply be stolen. The high-quality double-walled steel construction and drill screen make the Phoenix safe robust and durable. The model is also equipped with special bolt locks to prevent the safe from being broken open.
The Phoenix Fortress II SS1181K can be anchored either via the base or back wall, there is one fixing hole in the base and 1 fixing hole in the back wall. 2 bolts are included in the delivery.

- Perfect for small items like jewellery. Well worth measuring to check before you buy
- This looks to be a well-made product. I would have preferred two rear-fixing bolts because I had to install it in a modern-built house where floor fixing isn't really feasible. It is also a little tricky to get the rear bolt to "bite" when fixing to a cavity wall. Nevertheless, I am satisfied that the safe is securely mounted to the wall (using the bolt provided) and floor(using alternative fixings) and I am pleased with the product. Good customer service from the company as well!
The best surface to fix a safe into is concrete as this provides the most solid fixing. If you have a wooden floor please check with your insurance company they are happy with this. On a wooden floor the joist is the best point to fix to as this is a fixed point below the floor and generally more solid.
To install the safe to a floor you will need to choose an ideal location, put the safe into position and then mark the hole. Then remove the safe and drill where you have marked, check the instructions or bolt size for the size of hole that you will need to drill. Once your fixing hole or holes are drilled put the safe back into position and then using the bolts provided tighten them up.
